What are the dates for registration?

Registration begins in July with our online registration and ends in late August. Our on-site registrations will be on August 18th and August 25.

New for the 2018 season, payments for registration will be accepted online when the player registers online. 


What are the age requirements for the league?

Moss Bluff Recreational Football League has 3 age groups based on the players age as of May 1, 2018.

Pee-Wee 7 year old-8 year old

Junior 9 year old-10 year old

Senior 11 year old-12 year old


How do I register?

There are 2 ways to register:

  1. Online registration: Online registration is the preferred way to register. We use a website called Jersey Watch to allow players to register and pay the registration fee online. Click here to register:
  2. On-site registration: On August 18 and August 25 we will have an on-site registration at the Moss Bluff Recreation Open Air Gym.


How much is the registration fee?

Registration is $120.

There is an $80 sibling discount. When you register, the first player pays $120 and each sibling after that is $80. 


What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee covers equipment, materials and personnel needed for the league to function. This covers the use of football helmets and shoulder pads, field equipment, and provides the league with the ability to pay field and concession workers along with referees. This registration fee also offests the price of trophies and end of season t-shirts. 


How do I pay the registration fee?

Through our online registration, MBRFL accepts credit cards. 

At our on-site registration, MBRFL will accept cash, personal checks, money orders and credit cards. 


What equipment does my player need?

MBRFL provides football helmets and shoulder pads to players for use. Commonly a player needs to provide cleats, practice pants, pratice jersey and a mouthpiece. A game jersey will be provided for the player to wear during games and keep at the end of season.


I want to coach, do I need experience and how do I volunteer to coach?

Go to the and register through Jersey Watch. 


Do I have to create an account with Jersey Watch to register my player online?

Yes. When you register with Jersey Watch, not only does it add your player to the league, it also creates a siblibng discount for your account. It is also very convenient. 


Does my player have to tryout to play in the league?

The tryouts are for players that are aging up to a new division or who did not play in the league the previous year. The tryouts are for players to showcase their skills for the draft. Every player that is registered on draft day will be drafted by a team. Players that are not at tryouts will be drafted last. Players that register after the draft will be placed on a team.
